This recently funded biomass boiler  represents a significant period of growth for Afterwood Ltd.  Afterwood are nationwide suppliers of wood chip, wood pellets and animal bedding.  The boiler is connected directly to the drying floor which helps to improve efficiency of the supply of dry virgin wood chip.  This broadens Afterwood’s ability to keep the handling and production of their product in-house further developing their service.

Afterwood is a family-run business, set-up just over 6 years ago by director Jonathan Ford. After working for many years in horticulture and working with wood-based products, Jonathan was able to use his extensive knowledge and experience to create Afterwood. He realised very early on that renewable energy was a growing industry and could benefit the UK on a long-term basis.
